Product Introduction

Buoy valves, also known as self-regulating intercepting devices, are used in sponge city construction, black and odorous water body treatment, and intelligent drainage projects for stormwater and wastewater separation. Installed at the outlets of stormwater and wastewater separation wells, they automatically switch and separate rainwater from wastewater within the stormwater network, ensuring that the wastewater and a small amount of initial rainwater at the front end of the stormwater network enter the wastewater network, thus preventing wastewater from flowing into rivers, lakes, and other natural water bodies. At the same time, it avoids a large volume of rainwater entering the wastewater network, which reduces the load on wastewater treatment plants.

Working Principle

The product consists of a valve body, a sector baffle, and a float controller. During sunny weather or the early stages of rainfall, the liquid level of wastewater in the storm drain is low. The float valve remains open due to the weight of the float. Wastewater from the storm drain flows into the sewage system. As rainfall increases during heavy rain, the float controller uses buoyancy to close the stainless steel sector baffle, stopping the discharge. Rainwater flows into nearby rivers and lakes. When the rainfall decreases, the float controller resets and opens the discharge outlet as the liquid level drops, allowing normal discharge. This achieves the separation of rainwater and wastewater.

Application Fields

The Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development and the Ministry of Environmental Protection jointly regulate the construction of urban black and odorous water body projects, including underground stormwater trunk or branch pipelines for factories, villas, residential communities, and commercial buildings under construction or renovation. This aims to achieve the separation of rainwater and wastewater in the underground stormwater pipelines and control the source and intercept pollution.
