Product Overview

The hydraulic bottom-lifting weir gate is used in pipelines, box culverts, or channels, serving functions such as flushing, preventing backflow, and regulating flow. It is driven and controlled by an actuating cylinder to lift or lower the gate plate, which not only saves underground excavation space but also ensures a reliable seal. The actuating cylinder can be equipped with an automatic control system, enabling unattended automatic control. Water from upstream overflows from the top of the gate plate, which can be lifted or lowered as needed and can stop at any position to control the water distribution flow or adjust the upstream water level, enabling multiple functions such as flushing, water level control, and flow control.

The hydraulic underflow weir gate system primarily consists of weir gates, a hydraulic system (including a hydraulic station and accessories), ultrasonic level gauges, and a control system. For ease of maintenance later on, a maintenance slot is typically provided in front and behind the weir gates. By monitoring data from instruments, rainwater and wastewater are automatically分流ed to their respective pipelines, achieving the function of "completely intercepting pollution in summer, discarding initial rainwater, and fully direct discharging during the rainy season." It is an essential facility for the end-of-pipe treatment technology of non-point source pollution.

Operating Principle

On clear days, some of the wastewater flows through the hydraulic flow control gate into the sewage pipeline, achieving zero direct discharge of wastewater on clear days.

During rainfall, the initial surface runoff is relatively polluted, which could contaminate the river water if it enters. By using a rain gauge to determine the amount of rainfall, the polluted initial runoff is directed into the sewage system.

During the later stages of rainfall, the water is relatively clean. It can be directly discharged into the river through the opening of a submerged weir gate, reducing the load on the sewage network and ensuring the normal operation of the network.

Application Scope

Liquified downstream open flume gates are used in pipelines, box culverts, or channels (with box culverts being more common). They can serve the functions of intercepting flow, preventing backflow, and regulating the flow rate.
