They are used for liquid transportation, such as water supply, drainage, sewage treatment, slurry transportation, and marine water transportation. For gas transportation: gas, steam. Heli coils are mainly used for the pipeline transportation of oil and natural gas, and their specifications are indicated by outer diameter * wall thickness. Heli coils come in single-sided and double-sided welding options. Welded pipes must ensure that the hydraulic test, tensile strength of the weld, and cold bending properties meet the requirements.

1. Raw materials, including steel coils, welding wire, and flux, must undergo rigorous physical and chemical testing prior to use.

2. Steel strip ends are joined using single or double wire submerged arc welding, and after rolling into steel pipes, automatic submerged arc welding is used for post-welding.

3. Prior to forming, the strip steel undergoes leveling, trimming, edging, surface cleaning conveyance, and pre-bending processing.

4. The electric contact pressure gauge controls the pressure of the hydraulic cylinders on both sides of the conveyor, ensuring smooth steel strip transport.

5. Utilize external or internal controlled roller forming.

6. Utilize a weld gap control device to ensure that the weld gap meets welding requirements; the pipe diameter, misalignment, and weld gap are all strictly controlled.

7. Both inner and outer welding are performed using Lincoln welding machines for single or double wire submerged arc welding, ensuring stable welding specifications.

8. All welded seams have been inspected by an online continuous ultrasonic flaw detector, ensuring full coverage for non-destructive testing of spiral welds. In case of any defects, an automatic alarm is triggered and a marking is applied, allowing production workers to adjust process parameters accordingly and promptly eliminate the defects.

9. Cut steel pipes individually using an air plasma cutting machine.

10. After cutting into individual steel pipes, each batch must undergo a stringent initial inspection process, checking the mechanical properties of the welds, chemical composition, fusion state, surface quality of the pipes, and undergo non-destructive testing to ensure the tube-making process is qualified before being officially put into production.

11. Areas with continuous ultrasonic flaw detection marks on the welds must undergo manual ultrasonic and X-ray re-inspection. If defects are confirmed, they must be repaired and then re-inspected non-destructively until the defects are eliminated.

12. The pipes at the weld seams of the strip steel and the T-joints intersecting the spiral welds have all been inspected using X-ray television or filming.

13. Each steel pipe undergoes hydrostatic testing with radial sealing. The testing pressure and time are strictly controlled by the steel pipe water pressure microcomputer detection device. Test parameters are automatically printed and recorded.

14. Machining at the pipe end ensures precise control of the end face perpendicularity, bevel angle, and burr.

The common standards for spiral pipes generally include: SY/T5037-2018 (industry standard, also known as Spiral Seam Submerged Arc Welded Steel Pipes for General Fluid Transportation), GB/T9711.1-1997 (national standard, also known as Technical Conditions for Delivery of Steel Pipes for Oil and Gas Industry Transportation, Part A: Grade A pipes (for stricter requirements, see GB/T9711.2 Grade B pipes)), API-5L (American Petroleum Institute, also known as Line Pipe; which is divided into two grades: PSL1 and PSL2), and SY/T5040-92 (Spiral Seam Submerged Arc Welded Steel Pipes for Piles).
