Steel casing sinking

Prior to the steel casing being sunk, technicians lay out the pattern on the steel platform, then install the guide and positioning frame using the platform piles. The sinking process is carried out continuously with the assistance of a crane and a vibratory hammer, without any interruptions or long pauses to prevent the soil around the casing from settling, which would make further sinking difficult. The hammering continues until the casing reaches a dense soil layer to avoid leakage during construction. After sinking, the horizontal position deviation of the casing must not exceed 5 cm, and the inclination deviation should not exceed 1%.

Employing conventional equipment, by controlling the performance of drilling mud and reasonably selecting drilling technology parameters, we have increased the hole drilling speed, effectively preventing hole wall collapse and narrowing, maintaining hole wall stability, controlling the shape of the borehole, and achieving the construction of ultra-long piles.

During the hole-making process, the steel casing for bored piles is always treated with anti-deviation technical measures, ensuring a high degree of verticality for the pile holes, smooth installation of the steel cage, and normal construction of adjacent piles.

Improved the conventional hole cleaning process by implementing a one-time cleaning before drilling, followed by a two-time cleaning before concrete pouring and gradually adjusting the mud properties. This technical measure enhances the hole cleaning effectiveness, ensuring the sediment at the bottom of the hole meets specifications and design requirements. It also guarantees the stability of the pile hole before concrete pouring and the smooth placement of underwater concrete.

Issues to be aware of when processing steel casing:

In bored pile construction, steel casing is commonly used to locate the pile positions to be drilled. The casing is made of steel with a wall thickness of 10mm. When positioning the casing, first, use the pile center as the center point and mark the casing position on the ground based on the casing radius. After the casing is in place, apply pressure to bury it approximately 50cm deep. If it is difficult to push down, remove some soil from the hole first, then place and bury the casing underground. During the burial process, check if the casing is vertical. If it is found to be inclined, correct it immediately. After the casing is buried on land, backfill and compact the outer side of the casing with clay to prevent leakage around the casing. The backfill thickness is about 40-45cm, with the top height 0.4-0.6m above (water) level, and the deviation of the casing position from the hole center must not exceed 50mm.
