To prevent potential hazards caused by improper crane operation, it is crucial to strictly adhere to the requirements of the lifting equipment while operating a crane. Each crane has a rated lifting capacity and must not be overloaded; during operation, there should be no persons on the bridge or transporting people using the crane hooks. Operators without a valid operator's license or those under the influence of alcohol are prohibited from operating cranes. Operators must remain focused, refrain from conversation, smoking, or engaging in unrelated activities during operation. Equipment, tools, flammable, explosive, and hazardous materials must not be carelessly placed on the vehicle.

The following situations prohibit crane lifting: loose bindings; overloaded machinery; unclear signals; slanting; buried or frozen objects; people on the suspended item; flammable, explosive, and hazardous materials without safety precautions; overfilled liquid items; wire ropes not meeting safety requirements; and defective lifting mechanisms. Inspection or maintenance work can only be performed after the power is off and a "power off" sign is hung on the power switch. If live electrical work is necessary, safety measures must be in place, and a designated person must be on site to supervise. These are some of the standard safety issues for crane operation, and strict adherence is necessary for safety.
