High-Efficiency Cleaning Techniques for Press Filter Belts

The cleanliness of filter cloth directly impacts filtration efficiency and lifespan. Cleaning should follow the principle of "timely cleaning and targeted stain removal." The core methods are as follows:

1. Routine Basic Cleaning (Filter Gap Operation)After filtration, rinse the filter cloth with a high-pressure water jet (pressure 0.3-0.5MPa) along its surface while it's not fully dry, focusing on cleaning the retained filter cake residue. For sticky materials, use warm water (30-50°C) for rinsing to enhance desorption effects and prevent hardening and lumping.
2. Targeted Chemical Cleaning (Clog/Oil Stain Scenarios)If the filter cloth becomes clogged or the filtration speed decreases, select a cleaning agent based on the material: polyester or nylon filter cloth can be cleaned with neutral or slightly alkaline cleaning agents (such as a 5% sodium carbonate solution), PTFE filter cloth can withstand strong acids and alkalis, and aramid filter cloth should avoid strong oxidizing agents; soak for 15-30 minutes and then rinse, do not mix different types of acidic or alkaline cleaning agents.
3. Washing Taboos and PrecautionsAvoid using stiff bristles or sharp tools to scrape to prevent damage to the filter fabric fibers; the washing water temperature should not exceed 60℃ (except for PTFE), to avoid deformation due to high temperatures; after washing, air dry or dry at low temperature, do not expose to direct sunlight; it is recommended to establish a cleaning cycle, normally wash after every 3-5 filtrations under standard operating conditions, and shorten to 1-2 times when contamination is severe.
4. Special Circumstance ManagementIf the filter cloth is severely clogged (pores are blocked), a combination of "reverse flushing + ultrasonic cleaning" can be used, or replace locally damaged or aging filter cloth to avoid overall filtration effect being compromised by a single filter cloth.
