Causes of Leakage in Pump Valve Sealing Modules

1. Insufficient pressure in valve due to sealing module gaskets. Since the sealing surface is macroscopically uneven, multiple sealing ring grooves may appear on the surface. Sufficient pressure must be applied to the sealing gasket for secure sealing, utilizing elastic or plastic deformation to fill in gaps. The tightening force for various gaskets is typically specified in the gland manufacturer's samples or product specifications, or can be determined through experimentation. Sealing gasket leakage can occur due to pressure not reaching the required level, or due to loosened clamping bolts, which reduces the tightening force and causes deformation of the gasket material due to aging, leading to loss of elasticity. This can affect the vibration during the regular operation season.
 

2. The internal structure of the valve's sealing gasket material is uneven, or there are thickness variations and cracks, or the use of corrugated cardboard. The gasket itself forms a gap, and the lack of complete elastic deformation to fill these gaps results in insufficient sealing force, making leakage inevitable.
 

3. Valve sealing module materials and media are not adaptable. Due to the diversity of valve applications in chemical products, and the combined force of combustion fuel value or advancement alteration, as well as the addition of some large reducing agents, certain properties of the fuel may change. Therefore, the selection and application of gasket materials are not easily adaptable to the medium. As a result, gasket leaks are often due to a lack of adaptation.
