Polyurethane inner lining of cylinders


       

Polyurethane-lined steel cylinders are industrial equipment inner protective layers made primarily from polyurethane elastomers. Their core function is to extend the service life of the equipment and ensure production stability through the material's wear-resistant, corrosion-resistant, and high-elastic properties.


Material Characteristics

Wear resistance
Polyurethane has wear resistance up to 3-5 times that of natural rubber, and performs exceptionally well in environments below 80℃.
Case: In the sand mill, the wear resistance of the polyurethane lining can significantly reduce the wear of the cylinder by the grinding medium, thereby lowering maintenance costs for the equipment.
Corrosion resistance
Polyurethane exhibits high resistance to non-polar mineral oils, fuel oils, and mechanical oils, effectively preventing corrosion of the lining.
Application: In chemical piping systems, polyurethane lining effectively transports acidic and alkaline media, reducing the risk of pipeline leakage.
High elasticity and recovery elasticity
Polyurethane elastomers offer a wide hardness range (Shore A10-D95), combining the flexibility of rubber with the high strength of plastic.
Advantages: Absorbs vibration energy, reduces shock damage to the cylinder, and improves the stability of equipment operation.
High purity, free from contamination
Polyurethane-lining wear particles can be completely eliminated through heat treatment, preventing contamination of materials, especially suitable for industries with strict purity requirements such as food and pharmaceuticals.

Polyurethane lining features a smooth surface that resists material adhesion, enhancing grinding efficiency and reducing residue.
