The surface is aesthetically pleasing after anodizing treatment. Excellent arc welding properties. The primary alloying element in 5A06 is magnesium, offering good corrosion resistance, weldability, and moderate strength.
5A06 is an Al-Mg series alloy with a wide range of applications, particularly indispensable in the construction industry and considered a promising alloy. It boasts excellent corrosion resistance, good weldability, good cold working properties, and moderate strength.
AL-MG series alloys are a widely used type of corrosion-resistant aluminum. These alloys have high strength, especially fatigue resistance. They offer high ductility and corrosion resistance, cannot be heat-treated for strengthening, maintain good ductility during semi-cold working hardening, low ductility during cold working hardening, excellent corrosion resistance, good weldability, poor machinability, and can be polished. Applications include parts requiring high ductility and good weldability, such as low-load components operating in liquid or gas mediums, like fuel tanks, gasoline or lubricant conduits, various liquid containers, and other small-load components made by deep drawing: wire material for rivets.
