Product Overview
Excellent weldability, with superior anodizing effects①, for 6063 aluminum alloy material. Primarily composed of magnesium and silicon, it boasts good machinability, excellent weldability, extrudability, electroplating properties, good corrosion resistance, toughness, ease of polishing and coating, and superior anodizing effects, making it a typical extruded alloy. 6063 aluminum alloy profiles are widely used in construction materials, irrigation pipes, vehicle components, racks, furniture, elevators, fences, and more, thanks to their good plasticity, moderate heat treatment strength, excellent welding properties, and the lustrous surface finish achieved through anodizing.
② 6063 belongs to the high-plasticity Al-Mg-Si series of low-alloyed alloys. It boasts several valuable characteristics: 1. Heat-treatable, high impact toughness, and insensitive to notches. 2. Excellent welding properties and corrosion resistance, with no tendency for stress corrosion cracking. Among heat-treatable aluminum alloys, the Al-Mg-Si series is the only one without stress corrosion cracking. 3. The surface is extremely smooth after processing and is easy to anodize and color. Its drawback is that after quenching, if left at room temperature for a period, aging can adversely affect strength (parking effect).
Product Application
6063 aluminum alloy is widely used in the frames of architectural aluminum doors and windows, curtain walls.
