Advantages, Disadvantages, and Improvement Measures of the Bright Annealing Furnace

The Bright Annealing Furnace is a medium-sized industrial kiln, with a long strip shape. The continuous bright annealing furnace in the forging workshop of the vehicle factory originally used fuel-based sub-high-speed burners, primarily for heating and casting train axles followed by heat treatment. It is one of the key equipment in the forging workshop of the vehicle factory.
Advantages
1. User-friendly, tailored to production environments.
2. The furnace heating is quick and the temperatures across sections are uniform.
3. The furnace body overhaul period is guaranteed for over five years, and the maintenance of easily damaged parts such as the furnace door and burners is convenient.
Flaw
1. High fuel consumption, low efficiency, and severe environmental pollution.
2. Issues caused by push steel tracks and the like are numerous, difficult to repair, and have affected production.
3. Low level of automation control, high scrap rate, usually around 12%.
Enhanced Measures
The modified bright annealing furnace is divided into three temperature zones. Workpieces are pushed into the furnace's first zone—the heating zone—by a pusher. This zone features four burners, arranged on both walls in alternating rows, supported by arches made of refractory bricks, allowing for double-sided heating. Ahead lies zones two and three—the isothermal zones, each with four burners arranged at the same height on both walls. All eight burners are of the low-pressure eddy current type. There is a spacing beam between zones one and two. The furnace's front and rear tops are equipped with two composite metal heat exchangers. Both furnace walls and the bottom are constructed with bricks, while the roof is made of refractory fiber blanket. A high-pressure fan is used to supply both combustion air and exhaust gas induction wind. Regulating valves and flow orifice plates are installed on the gas main and air main. A regulating valve is also set on the induction wind main. A complete set of microcomputer control system, indicating instruments, and protective equipment is provided.
