The spray dryer operates as follows: After passing through a filter and a heating unit, the air enters the hot air distributor at the top of the drying chamber. The hot air distributed evenly into the chamber spirals, while the liquid material is delivered to the centrifugal spray nozzle mounted at the top of the chamber. The liquid is atomized into extremely fine droplets, greatly increasing the surface area of contact between the liquid and hot air. This leads to rapid evaporation of moisture, resulting in the formation of dried product in a short amount of time. If the spray dryer is experiencing a severe issue with sticking to the walls during operation, the possible cause may be: 1The incoming material volume is too large, leading to insufficient evaporation. 2Insufficient preheating of the drying chamber before the spray dryer starts spraying. 3At the start of the spraying, the feed rate adjustment is too high; the added liquid is unstable. In response to the various causes of the aforementioned issues, the following measures can be sequentially implemented: 1Reduce raw material intake moderately; increase the import and export temperatures of the hot air moderately. 2At the start of the spraying, begin with a low flow rate, gradually increase it, and adjust to an appropriate level. 3Check for pipe blockages, adjust the solid content of the material, and ensure the fluidity of the slurry.
