Synchronous Ring Coating

The molybdenum plating of synchronizers (and shift forks) is designed to enhance wear resistance while improving surface lubricity, ensuring smooth and easy operation of the gears within the car's synchronizer box. However, each car's synchronizer box contains a variety of gears of different sizes, and with millions of cars produced annually, the annual output of synchronizers is colossal, necessitating an automated spray line to handle the volume. Overseas, full-featured automated spray lines for synchronizer molybdenum plating have been available since the 1950s and 1960s, whereas China had to spend a significant amount of foreign exchange to purchase such equipment until just a few years ago. Thankfully, United Coating Company successfully developed this equipment in 2013, allowing for the seamless automation of sandblasting and molybdenum spraying. Currently, United Coating Company's 24-station turntable spray line has been widely adopted domestically.
