Q345R Large Diameter Seamless Steel Pipe

The Q345R large-diameter straight seam steel pipe is a high-performance steel product widely used in the oil, chemical, and power industries. As a special steel for pressure vessels, Q345R material boasts excellent mechanical properties and welding characteristics, with a yield strength exceeding 345MPa. It also features good low-temperature impact toughness and fatigue resistance. These pipes are manufactured using advanced straight seam welding technology, either through high-frequency resistance welding (ERW) or submerged arc welding (SAW), ensuring that the weld quality meets international standards such as GB/T 9711 and API 5L.

In terms of structural design, Q345R large-diameter ERW steel pipes generally utilize single or double seam welding, with pipe diameters ranging from Φ219mm to over Φ3000mm and wall thicknesses from 6mm to 120mm, meeting the pressure requirements under various operating conditions. Notably, through precise molding process control, these steel pipes achieve exceptional roundness and straightness. Combined with strict heat treatment processes, such as normalizing or quenching and tempering, the residual stress from welding is effectively eliminated, enhancing the product's dimensional stability and service life.

From an application perspective, these steel pipes are particularly suitable for medium transportation under high temperature and high-pressure environments, such as hydrogenation reactors in oil refineries and large boiler drums and other critical equipment. By adding microalloying elements (such as Nb, V, Ti, etc.) to the material composition, they achieve both fine-grain strengthening and precipitation strengthening, ensuring that the steel pipes maintain stable mechanical properties throughout their long service life. Manufacturers must also conduct comprehensive non-destructive inspections in accordance with the NB/T 47008 standard, including ultrasonic testing and X-ray inspections, among other quality verification procedures, to ensure that each pipe meets the safety standards for industrial equipment use.
