Equipment Overview:
The Vertical Automatic Shallow Sand Filter System is composed of multiple standard filter units, featuring a unique distributor and collector inside. It boasts a distinctive bidirectional automatic backwashing valve, enabling individual backwashing of each standard filter unit sequentially during normal system operation, with full automatic program control. It offers advantages such as low backwashing water usage, easy installation, and user-friendly operation. The equipment has a high flow rate and requires no maintenance. Available in both vertical and horizontal series to meet different user requirements, it is suitable for water quality treatment in industrial and civil circulating water systems.
Working Principle:
Our company, through years of effort and integration of foreign technology, has developed a new generation VTA-MHF unit fully automatic media filtration system with independent intellectual property rights. This product boasts a compact structure, high level of automation, and its unique design ensures effluent turbidity below 0.1 NTU and filtration accuracy up to 2 microns. The equipment can perform automatic backwashing, and not only does it offer excellent performance, but it also features low operating costs.
Active washing filtration state:
When the system is in the filtration state, unfiltered water is evenly distributed through our uniquely designed water distributor. The water flows in a laminar state through the filter's packed bed (refined uniform quartz sand/garnet). As the water passes through the packed bed, impurities are trapped within. The filter bottom features multiple uniformly distributed, unique rod-shaped collection rods, which evenly collect and discharge the filtered water, enabling a steady flow filtration. This allows the filter to perform effective filtration at high flow rates.
Anti-money Laundering Status:
As impurities continually accumulate in the filling layer, the internal pressure head loss will progressively increase. Once the pressure head loss of the inflow and outflow reaches the set value, the system will automatically activate the pressure regulating device to switch to backwashing mode. Upon completion of the backwashing for this filtration unit, the hydraulic valve reverses the water supply direction, thereby achieving backwashing for each filtration unit sequentially, making it easier to clean the accumulated impurities.
When the system is in anti-money laundering mode, the filtration continues; the standard filtration units subject to anti-money laundering do not filter, while the other standard filtration units in the system still do. The filtered clean water is used to rinse the standard filtration units, with the rest sent to the user. The backwash wastewater is discharged through the backwash drain of the hydraulic valve. In the fully automatic high-efficiency filtration system, a special collector design allows the filling material to scrub against each other, maximizing the backwash efficiency, reducing the required backwash water (clean water), and preventing material leakage during the backwash process. A standard unit sand tank backwash takes 2 minutes. After the backwash is complete, the internal pressure loss of the standard unit sand tank decreases to a reasonable range, the pressure-setting device sends a recovery signal, the hydraulic valve returns to the filtration state, and the next standard unit sand tank prepares for the backwash state.
Application Scope:
1. Industrial water filtration—has certain system requirements for water quality. Such as: steel mill oxygen lance water, boiler, and heat exchanger supply filtration, which can filter out impurities in the water, preventing pipeline and nozzle clogs.
2. Industrial circulating water filtration system.
3. Raw Water Treatment --- Offers filtration services for surface rivers, lakes, seas, reservoirs, well water, and urban tap water, as well as for quality-separated water supply in urban residential areas, to remove sand particles, suspended matter, algae, organic matter, and more from the water.
4. Agricultural Irrigation - Particularly suitable for high-flow, clean-source water, such as irrigation for farmland, parks, and golf course lawns.

● Fast filtration accuracy, normal filtration rate is about 40m/h, and can reach 60m/h depending on water quality; the filter backwashing uses product water, and there is no need to install a booster pump and backwashing pump; backwashing duration is 2-3 minutes, and the backwashing water volume is <3m³.
High filtration accuracy, capable of filtering impurities down to 0.18mm, with an outlet turbidity less than 0.5 NTU.
The filtration system consists of standard sand cylinders, with a flow capacity ranging from 30.6 cubic meters per hour to 2,500 cubic meters per hour.
4. Auto-Backwashing: The equipment's backwashing is automatically identified and controlled by an intelligent control system, requiring no manual intervention. Even if there are fluctuations in the suspended matter in the water, the equipment can automatically adapt.
5. Uninterrupted water supply; while the equipment is backwashing, the filtration process is conducted simultaneously, ensuring the system continues to supply water as usual.
6. Features unique fabric and water collection devices.
● The unique watering system of this filter system, along with the uniformly distributed collection nozzles, ensures a stratified flow of water throughout the filtration process. The filter sand bed remains flat during the entire filtration, resulting in stable water quality output.
7. Utilize refined, premium quartz sand or garnet as the filtration medium.
Select based on water quality conditions; uniform filter material with particle size down to 0.16mm available.
8. Low long-term operating costs, saving on electricity, water, and maintenance fees.
● Energy-saving: The system features a unique automatic backwashing valve, which performs backwashing of the sand filter tank sequentially in rotation, rather than simultaneously, without the need to consider a dedicated backwashing pump. Additionally, compared to other sand filter equipment, it requires a lower head of the filtration pump by 6-7 meters.
● Water-saving: The system, with its unique补水器 (refiller) and集水器 (collector), as well as its specified tank body, allows for a very even expansion of the medium layer during backwashing without the need for compressed air, ensuring an effective backwashing process. The water used for backwashing is filtered clean water, thus minimizing the amount of water consumed for backwashing. The backwashing water volume for a single tank is only 1m³/min, with a backwashing time of 2-3 minutes.
● Save on Maintenance Costs: The entire system does not require mechanical or electric valves; it relies solely on a unique multifunction valve to control the backwashing process. Due to the valve's lack of wear and its long lifespan, there have been no damage records in 10 years, resulting in low management costs.
