Equipment Overview:
The Horizontal Automatic Shallow Sand Filter Medium Filtration System is composed of multiple standard filter units, featuring unique distributors and collectors inside. It comes with a unique bidirectional automatic backwash valve, enabling individual backwashing of each standard filter unit sequentially during normal system operation, with full automatic program control. It boasts advantages such as low backwash water usage, easy installation, and simple operation. The equipment has a high flow rate and requires no maintenance. Available in both vertical and horizontal series to meet different customer requirements. It is suitable for water quality treatment in industrial and civil circulating water systems.
Working Principle:
Our company, through years of effort and integration of foreign technology, has developed a new generation of filter system, the VTA-MHF unit, an innovative filter with independent intellectual property rights. This product boasts a compact structure, high level of automation, and its unique design allows for effluent turbidity below 0.1 NTU and filtration accuracy up to 2 micrometers. The equipment can perform automatic backwashing, offering not only excellent functionality but also low operating costs.
Rinse Filter Status:
When the system is in filtration mode, unfiltered water is evenly distributed by our uniquely designed water distributor. The water flows in a laminar state through the filling layer inside the filter (refined uniform quartz sand/garnet). As the water passes through the filling layer, impurities are retained within it. The bottom of the filter features multiple uniformly distributed unique rod-shaped collection rods, which evenly collect and discharge the filtered water, enabling the filter to achieve good filtration effects even at high flow rates.
Anti-money Laundering Status:
As impurities continually accumulate in the filling layer, internal pressure head loss will continuously increase. Once the pressure head loss of both incoming and outgoing water reaches the set value, the system will automatically activate the pressure-regulating device to switch to backwashing mode. Upon completion of the backwashing for this filtration unit, the hydraulic valve changes the water supply direction, enabling sequential backwashing of each filtration unit, which facilitates the cleaning of accumulated impurities more effectively.
When the system is in the anti-money laundering mode, the filtration continues; the standard filter units subject to anti-money laundering do not filter, while the other standard filter units in the system continue to filter. The filtered clean water is used for the anti-money laundering of the standard filter units, with the rest delivered to the customer. The backwash wastewater is discharged through the backwash drain outlet of the hydraulic valve. In an automatic and efficient filtration system, the special design of the collector allows the packing to be scrubbed against each other, maximizing the backwash efficiency, reducing the required backwash water (clean water), and there is no material spillage during the backwash. A standard unit sand tank requires 2 minutes for backwashing. Upon completion, the internal pressure loss of the standard unit sand tank is reduced to a reasonable range, the pressure-regulating device sends a recovery signal, the hydraulic valve returns to the filtration state, and the next standard unit sand tank is prepared for the backwash state.
Application Scope:
1. Industrial Water Filtration - Requires certain systematic water quality standards. Such as: filtration for steel mill oxygen lance water, boiler, and heat exchanger supply, which can remove impurities from the water to prevent blockages in pipelines and nozzles.
2. Industrial circulating water filtration system.
3. Raw Water Treatment --- Capable of filtering surface rivers, lakes, seas, reservoirs, well water, and city tap water for residential areas, separating quality water supply, to remove sand particles, suspended matter, algae, organic matter, and more from the water.
4. Agricultural Irrigation — Particularly suitable for high-flow, clean source water, such as irrigation for farmland, park, and golf course lawns.
5. Industrial process water for food processing, papermaking, power plant industrial circulating water treatment, and pretreatment of pure industrial water. Water recycling in industrial production, and industrial wastewater treatment.

Product Features:

3. High filtration capacity, excellent filtration effect
● Fast filtration accuracy, normal filtration rate is about 40m/h, up to 60m/h depending on water quality; the filter backwashing uses product water and does not require a booster pump or backwashing pump; backwashing time is 2-3 minutes, and backwashing water volume is less than 3m³.
● High filtration accuracy, with a particle retention rate below 0.18mm and an effluent turbidity less than 0.5 NTU.
The filtration system consists of standard sand cylinder units, with the filtration flow capacity ranging from 30.6 cubic meters per hour to 2500 cubic meters per hour.
4. Automatic Backwashing: The equipment's backwashing is automatically identified and controlled by the intelligent control system, requiring no manual intervention. Even if there are fluctuations in suspended matter in the water, the equipment can automatically adapt.
5. Continuous water supply; during backwashing of the equipment, the filtration process is simultaneously conducted, and the system continues to supply water as usual.
6. Features a unique fabric and water collection device.
● The unique water distribution system of this filter and the evenly distributed collection nozzles ensure a layered water flow throughout the filtration process. The filter sand bed remains flat during filtration, resulting in stable water quality output.
7. Utilize refined, premium quartz sand or garnet as the filtration medium.
Choose based on water quality conditions; uniform filter material with particle size as small as 0.16mm available.
8. Low long-term operational costs, saving on electricity, water, and maintenance expenses.
● Energy-saving: The system features a unique automatic backwashing valve, where the sand filter tank backwashing is not conducted simultaneously but in an alternating sequence during normal system operation, eliminating the need for a dedicated backwashing pump. Additionally, compared to other sand filter equipment, it requires a lower head of 6-7m for the filtering pump.
● Water-saving: The system, with its unique补水器 (refiller) and集水器 (collector), as well as its specified tank body, allows for a very even expansion of the medium layer during backwashing without the need for compressed air, ensuring an effective backwashing process. The water used for backwashing is filtered clean water, resulting in minimal water consumption for backwashing. The water volume for a single tank's backwashing is only 1m³/min, with a backwashing time of 2-3 minutes.
● Save on maintenance costs: The entire system does not require mechanical or electric valves, relying solely on a unique multi-functional valve to control the backwashing process. Due to the non-wearing nature and long lifespan of the unique multi-functional valve, there have been no damage records in the past 10 years, resulting in low management costs.
