When a fiber disc filter malfunctions, what components need to be checked?
1. Traffic sharply declined
Reason: Loose end cap, valve components not opened, low intake pressure, O-ring leakage, piping leakage.
Corresponding elimination methods: tighten the end cap, open the valve, inspect the cause and increase the intake pressure, replace the O-ring seal, and replace the piping.
2. Increased pressure reduction
Reason: Filter element clogging or high adsorption, filter element aging, large intake contamination load, filter housing water accumulation, malfunctioning automatic drain, and uneven filter installation.
Corresponding elimination methods: exchange filter cores, exchange filter cores, perform pre-treatment, identify and eliminate water accumulation, adjust and repair or replace the drain, reinstall the filter.
3. Poor filtration efficiency
Reason: Unprocessed intake air, aging filter cores, air containing chemicals that the filter cannot adsorb, flow exceeding rated value, air flow short inside the filter, filter core screws not tightened, reversed filter inlets and outlets, unclean downstream pipes, blocked bypass valves, and loosely closed bypass valves.
Corresponding exclusion methods: Add a pre-filter, replace the filter element, pre-treat according to the situation, replace with a high-flow filter, find the cause and treat accordingly, tighten the filter element, reconnect with the correct orientation of the markings, flush the downstream pipeline, remove residual pollutants, and close the bypass valves.
4. Precision filter is not functioning
Reason: Valves for import/export not opened, filter cores severely clogged, filter element damaged, piping blocked.
