Product Overview:
The bell-shaped sand separator is equipped with an electric motor, reducer, impeller shaft, rotating disc blades, air-lifting and air-washing systems, sand suction pipes, and a steel platform. The tank (usually made of concrete, with the option for a steel tank upon customer request), and the diameter and height of the rotating disc blades are customized according to the customer's tank specifications.
The sand separator operates by allowing the sand-water mixture to enter the clock-type sand settling tank at a tangent angle, creating a vortex. Driven by the drive unit, the impeller of the mixing mechanism rotates, controlling the flow rate and pattern of the wastewater entering the pool.
Due to the upward tilt of the impeller blades, rotation accelerates the wastewater in the pool in a spiral motion, forming涡流状态, and generating centripetal force. Simultaneously, the wastewater in the pool is stripped apart under the action of the impeller blade's stirring and shearing forces. Relying on the self-weight of the sand and the centrifugal force of the swirl, sand particles accelerate downwards along the pool wall in a spiral pattern, accumulating towards the center sand hopper. After being lifted by air or pump, they are discharged from the pool for further treatment. Throughout this process, the appropriate paddle blade angle and linear velocity conditions ensure that sand particles in the wastewater are washed, maintaining good sedimentation effects. Organic matter originally attached to the sand particles, as well as lighter substances, are carried out with the wastewater into the downstream process for continued treatment. Sand and a small amount of wastewater enter the sand-water separator outside the pool. The sand is separated and discharged, while the wastewater returns to the grate well.

It maximizes the hydraulic cyclone's effect, maintaining its advantages such as minimal land occupation, short processing residence time, excellent sedimentation performance, strong sand-water separation capability, and reliable sand removal, especially for inorganic sand gravel in wastewater.
Other:
The Cyclone Sedimentation Tank is typically made of concrete. However, if space considerations are taken into account during design, it can be constructed as a steel tank, which is compact in structure and has a small footprint. The specific situation will determine the design.
