Ceramic permeable pavers |
What should be noted when laying ceramic permeable bricks? After a rain, we often find puddles in our community area, affecting both the overall appearance and residents' convenience. This is due to the non-porous nature of the paving bricks and uneven surfaces. To address this, ceramic permeable bricks can be a solution, as they promote water drainage and prevent puddles. When laying them, attention should be given to the following issues to ensure optimal performance. 1. Prior to the installation of ceramic permeable bricks, all facilities such as water and electricity supply, transportation routes, mixing, and material storage areas should be addressed. Any buildings, canals, and underground pipelines that may hinder construction must be demolished before the work begins. 2. All types of pipelines, green facilities, and structures within the sidewalk area must be completed prior to sidewalk construction. The elevation of exposed manhole covers must be adjusted to the design level, and special treatment must be applied around the manhole bases to ensure the normal laying of the surface layer. 3. For ceramic permeable bricks construction, soil base compaction should use tamper or roller machines, while subgrade compaction should utilize vibration machines. 4. In case of construction during the rainy season or any interruption in construction, the surface of the construction layer must be promptly repaired, leveled, and compacted. 5. Excavate the subgrade according to design specifications, clear the soil, and achieve the designed elevation. Check the longitudinal and transverse slopes, as well as the edge lines, to ensure they meet design requirements. Grub the subgrade, level and compact it, achieving a compaction factor of over 90%, and pay attention to any underground pipelines. Prepare these, and the installation of ceramic permeable bricks will be more convenient and quick; this is also a matter that every construction team should pay attention to.
