Nanofiltration (NF) membranes are a type of new separation membrane that falls between Reverse Osmosis (RO) membranes and Ultrafiltration (UF) membranes. Due to their structural features such as nanoporous membrane pore sizes and multiple charged surfaces on the membrane, they are primarily used in the following aspects:

Separation of organic substances with different molecular weights.

Equipment Principle:

The equipment used for liquid membrane separation depends on the type of liquid membrane. For emulsified liquid membranes, the main equipment is the general extraction unit, supplemented by emulsifying mixing equipment and demulsifying separation units. For supported liquid membranes, the structure is either plate-and-frame or hollow fiber, depending on the configuration of the support material (microporous membrane).
