The Zhiyao Purified Water Equipment utilizes membrane technology to produce purified water, ensuring that the treated water fully meets the purity standards set by the pharmacopoeia. It also has strong adaptability to changes in raw water quality, avoids potential environmental pollution from traditional methods, and can effectively reduce water treatment costs. The equipment is used to produce pure water to meet medical needs. The entire system is made of all stainless steel components and must be equipped with sterilization devices before the water is used. It employs reverse osmosis, EDI, and other processes to design a complete set of high-purity water treatment technologies specifically, to meet the water requirements for purified water production in pharmaceutical factories and hospitals.

In pure water equipment, both Reverse Osmosis (RO) and Electrodeionization (EDI) play a role in desalination and water purification. Typically, the EDI unit is positioned after the RO unit. Reverse Osmosis utilizes the selective retention of the reverse osmosis membrane to allow water molecules to continuously pass through the membrane under pressure greater than the solution's osmotic pressure. Heavy metal ions, organic matter, bacteria, viruses, and other particles smaller than the RO membrane pore size are retained on the feed side of the membrane, achieving the separation and purification. The entire process operates using physical methods, without the addition of any disinfectants or chemicals, thus preventing chemical changes.


The Quankun Purified Water Equipment EDI, also known as Continuous Electrical Deionization (EDI) technology, scientifically integrates electro dialysis and ion exchange technologies. It achieves deep purification and desalination of water by utilizing the selective permeation of anion and cation membranes and the ion exchange resin's exchange action on water ions, facilitating the directional migration of ions under the influence of an electric field. During this process, the hydrogen and hydroxide ions produced by the electrolysis of water can be used to regenerate the resin continuously, allowing the system to produce high-quality purified water without shutting down. In other words, EDI technology not only purifies water quality but also breaks the limitation of using mixed beds for water purification. Mixed beds typically require periodic regeneration, which involves large amounts of chemicals (acids and bases) and pure water, leading to environmental issues. The EDI system is simpler and more continuous to operate than mixed beds, and its process generates very little waste, with most effluent water being recycled back into the front-end water treatment system, reducing environmental pollution. Therefore, we can see that both RO and EDI in purified water equipment are responsible for water desalination and purification, with EDI providing deep desalination to yield purer water quality than RO. This is why RO+EDI is commonly used when high-quality purified water is needed, with EDI placed after the RO unit.
