Diesel generator sets, during combustion, produce not only a significant amount of hot gas but also a large volume of exhaust emissions. The particulate matter in the exhaust, resulting from uneven combustion and accumulated carbon, is bound to pollute the environment. Generator exhaust treatment primarily involves water spray or alkaline water spray. When the gas substances contain only particulates and no other components, water spray is used. However, for exhaust gases like those from generator tails or boiler emissions, alkaline water spray is required.
