A steel structure mezzanine is a construction method that adds an additional floor to large space buildings, high-rise industrial parks, or office buildings, increasing the effective usable area. Different usage requirements call for corresponding steel structure mezzanine combinations.
Tools/Materials:
Structural steel, H-beams, channel steel
Method/Steps:
1. Laid wood on steel frame: Low cost, light self-weight, short construction period, but poor sound insulation; tends to deform over time, makes noise when walked on; lacks fire, insect, and mold resistance. Poor load-bearing performance; suitable for small span mezzanines.
2. Laying corrugated steel sheets on steel frames: These solutions offer high safety, high load-bearing capacity, no vibration, and decent sound insulation. However, they are slightly more expensive than wooden boards and take longer to install. Suitable for various building layouts with different spans.
3. Lightweight floor deck laid on steel frame: Durable, quick installation, short construction period; can be installed at the same level as the top flange of steel beams for optimal space utilization. Suitable for office buildings, villas, homes, etc.
