Sensor Installation Method

Prepared tools and materials

Tool:

Pistol drill (capable of holding 10mm drill bits) (2 spare)

2. 50mm Diameter Metal Drilling Bit

3. Metal drill bits with a diameter of 2mm (2-3 spare)

4. Cross screwdriver

5. Magnet (tied with a 1-meter long string)

6. A batch of metal files

7. A pair of needle-nose pliers

Materials Required:

Automotive sealant (1-2 spare tubes)

Cable (0.5 sq mm) - Three Colors (Red, Blue, Black)

Casing

4 Black Duct Tape

Process Operation:

First: Empty the gasoline completely, then rinse with water two to three times, and install following these steps.

Positioning:

Principles are generally located in the middle of the fuel tank, avoiding the original position of the fuel float.

2. Clean debris from the oil tank opening area

Remove oil stains from the location where the fuel tank is to be installed.

3. Seize the opportunity

Grip a 50mm metal drilling bit in a gun drill, connect it to the power source, and drill in the center of the positioned oil tank. (Note: Do not go too fast; stop when nearly through. Use a screwdriver and needle-nose pliers to chip off the metal to be drilled, preventing it from falling into the oil tank.)

4. Cleanup

Remove burrs from the drilled holes using a precision file.

Place a magnet with a string in the oil tank to suck out the iron shavings.

5. Remove the sensors customized for vehicle models by the manufacturers

Remove the float protector and unscrew the 5 mounting screws and 5 self-tapping screws with a screwdriver.

Detach the sensor from the installation flange.

Check the O-ring on the flange. If intact, place it in the pre-drilled hole.

6. Fixed

Using a gun drill with a 2mm drill bit, bore holes in the 5 grooved holes of the flange (penetrating the fuel tank). Apply metal sealant to the 5 self-tapping screws, and securely fasten the flange to the fuel tank. Install the sensor on the flange and tighten with the 5 screws.

7. Sealed

Seal the junction between the flange and the oil tank with a metal sealing glue all around.

8. Connect

Connect the corresponding color lines and secure the joints with black electrical tape. It is recommended to use conduit for the wires. Route the wires along the vehicle's frame.
