I. Overview of Xenon Lamps Aging Test Chamber:

Dongguan Hongjun Instrument & Equipment Co., Ltd.'s HJ/CQ-Series Xenon Lamps Aging Test is a comprehensive climatic testing device. In addition to climatic aging tests, it also allows for the measurement of high-grade materials' resistance to optically rotating, meaning evaluating the material's resistance to rotation by exposing it to artificial light sources simulating sunlight passing through glass. It simulates and enhances tests from several main climatic factors including light energy, temperature, rainfall or condensation, and humidity. It uses a xenon arc lamp that can simulate the full solar spectrum to reproduce destructive light waves present in different environments. The Xenon Lamps Weathering Test Chamber provides environmental simulation and accelerated testing for scientific research, product development, and quality control, applicable for tests such as selecting new materials, improving existing materials, or assessing changes in material durability after composition changes. It is suitable for plastics, rubbers, paints, coatings, inks, papers, food, textiles, automotive parts, packaging materials, construction materials, electronic and electrical products, etc.

The Xenon lamp test chamber employs a xenon arc lamp capable of simulating the full solar spectrum to reproduce destructive light waves present in various environments, providing environmental simulation and accelerated testing for scientific research, product development, and quality control.

The SN Xenon lamp test chamber is used for tests such as selecting new materials, improving existing materials, or evaluating changes in durability after material composition alterations. It effectively simulates the changes that materials undergo when exposed to sunlight under various environmental conditions.

Simulated full sunlight spectrum:

SN measures the material's resistance to polarization by exposing it to ultraviolet (UV), visible light, and infrared light. It uses filtered xenon arc lamps to produce a full-spectrum sunlight that closely matches natural sunlight. The method of using properly filtered xenon arc lamps is to test the product's sensitivity to longer wavelengths of UV and visible light in direct sunlight or sunlight passing through glass.

Test for the photochromic resistance of indoor materials

Due to long-term exposure to fluorescent lights, halogen lamps, or other illuminating lights, products placed in retail points, warehouses, or other environments will also undergo significant photo-degradation. The SN Xenon Light Test Chamber can simulate and reproduce the destructive light in such commercial lighting environments, and can accelerate the testing process with higher intensity.

Simulated climatic environment:

In addition to the photo-degradation tests, the SN Xenon Lamps Test Chamber can be converted into a climate aging test chamber by adding a water spray option, simulating the effects of outdoor humidity on materials.

Relative Humidity Control

Some models of SN Xenon lamp test chambers offer relative humidity control functionality. This feature is crucial for many moisture-sensitive materials and is also required by many testing protocols.

Section VI: Structure of the Xenon Lamps Aging Test Chamber

The Xenon lamp climate test chamber consists of the following components: the test chamber body, control system, refrigeration/dehumidification system, heating system, humidification system, air duct system, rain shower system, and lighting system.

Test Chamber Enclosure:

The test chamber features an integrated structure with the left upper section as the working area, the right upper section as the electrical control room, and the lower section as the refrigeration unit with a compressor. It includes various operating devices such as the mechanical speed device of the sample frame, xenon lamp condensate tank, and pump. The electrical control cabinet is located on the right side of the test chamber for easy operation.

The interior walls of the test box are all made of internationally standardized SUS304# stainless steel plate.

The container is insulated with polyurethane foam and fine glass fiber, ensuring excellent thermal insulation. The exterior surface of the test chamber does not frost over or condense.

※ The case bottom is equipped with a condensate drainage port.

The door frames are sealed with environmentally friendly silicone rubber strips that can withstand extreme temperatures for a long time.

The front of the cabinet features a glass observation window, which is covered with a protective film to shield the eyes from the Xenon lamp's radiation.

Outer case:

The outer casing is precision-machined from cold-rolled steel sheets and treated with acid pickling and phosphatization before being electrostatically coated.

Doors and door latches:

The box door is sealed with double-layer refined silicone rubber, ensuring no aging or hardening under high and low temperatures, providing more reliable sealing.

The test box features a single door (flush-mounted door handle) with a non-recoil handle.

The box door features an observation window, frost protection, and a switchable lighting system with on/off control.

Section 8: Xenon Lamps Aging Test Chamber - Working Section:

Compressor Condenser Section:

※ Refrigeration System: The heart of the refrigeration system is the compressor. In this solution, we use 1 full hermetically sealed compressor from France Tai Kang, ensuring the cooling requirements of the work area.

The design of the refrigeration system incorporates energy regulation technology, an effective approach that ensures normal operation of the refrigeration unit while also adjusting the energy consumption and cooling capacity of the system, thereby reducing the operational costs and failure rates to a more economical level.

The refrigeration evaporator is located in the air duct sandwich inside one end of the test chamber, forced-ventilated by a fan motor, achieving rapid heat exchange.

Cooling Method of Refrigeration System: Forced Air Cooling

Coolant: R404a; (Eco-friendly coolant)

Heating Section:

Heating method: Direct heating inside the test chamber.

※ Utilizes stainless steel finned heating tubes for even heating rates, ensuring the internal temperature of the chamber remains stable without abrupt changes. Features include corrosion resistance, ability to withstand high and low temperatures, no leakage, and easy installation.

※ Employing SSR (Solid State Relay) output control, featuring noiseless operation, reliable performance, long lifespan, strong anti-interference capability, fast switching speed, minimal external interference, and ease of use.

Rain Shower System

The rain system is mainly composed of nozzles, solenoid valves, water supply sources, and connecting hoses.

Lighting System:

The lighting system is mainly composed of xenon lamp tubes, lamp shades, xenon lamp igniters, and various control devices. Energy compensation for the xenon lamps is achieved by adjusting the distance of the sample frame and regulating the voltage and current.

Air Duct System

The duct system is located in the intermediate space at the rear of the test chamber, housing devices such as heaters, fan blades, evaporators, and PT100 temperature sampling sensors. As the fan rotates at high speed, it draws air from the upper part of the work area into the duct, where it is thoroughly mixed with the heat generated by the heater and the cooling produced by the evaporator before being blown out from below. The air, after exchanging heat with the test sample in the work area, is then drawn back into the duct for further mixing; this cycle is repeated to achieve the desired temperature, while also ensuring the test chamber maintains high humidity and temperature levels.

Refrigeration/Dew Point Control System

Select the fully enclosed industrial refrigeration compressor from France's "Tacon". Mainly used for cooling Xenon lamp tubes, maintaining a constant working room temperature, and reducing the humidity inside the working room.

Humidification section:

Steam Generator: Equipment for producing steam by vaporizing water.

Water Level Control: Solenoid valve controls water intake, liquid level switch controls water level, providing signals for humidifier water addition and alarm.

Gas Recirculation Section:

※Equipped with an internal circulation duct and fan, utilizing an efficient refrigeration unit and energy regulation system, it achieves effective heat exchange through high-efficiency fans to achieve temperature changes. It enhances air flow and the heat exchange capacity of heating, humidifying, and air-cooling units by improving the airflow of the air. Through adjustable air outlets, it significantly improves the uniformity of temperature and humidity in the testing chamber.
