Isolation washing machines: Key Points to Note When Cleaning Cleanroom Workwear

Isolation washers should be mindful of these precautions when cleaning clean workwear in cleanrooms.

Generally, cleanroom workwear needs to be washed at least once a week, with some stringent requirements calling for daily washing.

During regular room cleaning, dust and bacteria adhere and become contaminated by cleaning agents.

Additionally, there is a risk of ash and microorganisms adhering during the packaging and transportation process.

The cleaning of cleanroom apparel is typically handled by cleaning companies. When cleaning cleanroom apparel within a cleanroom, the following precautions should be taken:

1. The newly sewn cleanroom garments are washable, but should be carefully cleaned of any oil stains found in the returned cleanroom garments before washing.

Before washing in the isolation washer, please inspect the attachments for scratches, damage, and loose rings, and repair, replace, or scrape off any defective parts.

It must be clean, dried, and packaged in a cleanroom with a higher cleanliness level than the one used for workwear.

4. Water for dry and wet cleaning should be filtered, and solvents should be distilled. During use, please employ a filter membrane with a pore size less than 0.2um and perform multiple filtrations as needed.

To remove water-soluble pollutants, after washing with clean water, *distilled solvents must be used to eliminate oily pollutants.

Wet washing water temperatures: Polyester fabric 60-70°C to 70°C. Nylon fabric 50-55°C to 60°C.

During the final rinse process, antistatic agents can be used to enhance antistatic properties; however, these agents should be fully combined with the fibers and should not shed much lint.

8. The buckle of the workwear should be cleaned in the locked position.

Cleanroom Facility

The product is dried in a dedicated dust-free air circulation system designed for cleaning.

After drying, stack them in a clean room specifically designed for washing, then place them into dust-free poly cool bags or dragon bags. Packaging can be done according to specifications, either by weigh or vacuum-sealed, with materials of high anti-static properties being the preferred choice.

Due to the susceptibility of folding to dust, the folding process must be conducted in a cleanroom. For instance, the folding and packaging of 100-level cleanroom garments should be done in a 10-level environment.
