Ring gauge, also known as a calibration ring gauge, is a circular ring with specific dimensions and properties used to correct the deficiencies of measuring instruments.
Ring gauges are used as shaft tolerance gauges, primarily for measuring shafts or other external dimensions with tolerance grades of 1T6 to 1T16. They are not suitable for inspecting parts machined on the positive apex or crankshafts, and their application range is limited.
