Color asphalt, also known as colored binder, is a composite material modified by blending petrochemical materials such as petroleum resin and SBS modifier, imitating the components of petroleum asphalt. This asphalt is not inherently colored or colorless; rather, it is dark brown. In recent years, due to market convention, it is commonly referred to as color asphalt. The three major indicators of color asphalt must meet the technical requirements of matrix asphalt, which are in compliance with CJJ/T 218-2014 "Technical Code for Color Asphalt Concrete Pavements in Urban Roads." Based on its road performance, the LS series color asphalt is categorized into three main types: matrix, modified, and special, catering to various different demands of the colored paving market.
Color asphalt paving is primarily used for greenways, bike paths, pedestrian walkways, landscape garden roads, and other slow-moving systems and scenic road pavements.
Color asphalt, also known as colored binder, is a type of road construction material, currently available in two varieties:
1. Colorless binder (not solid color, ranging from brown to dark brown, with lighter color indicating higher quality) mixed with color powder. The colorless binder can be derived from de-colored asphalt or mixed from light-colored polymers such as petroleum resin.
2. Directly modified from asphalt, this binder features strong anti-aging capabilities of asphalt, with a brownish-red color.
Color asphalt
The process of directly decolorizing black asphalt to produce colorless binder, which was common, has been largely phased out.
Drainage type
Based on the drainage and noise reduction road surface, we have developed a drainage-type colored asphalt pavement. This surface combines the performance characteristics of a drainage road with the function of beautifying the urban environment. It can be widely used in landmark roads, sidewalks, residential roads, parks, squares, parking lots, and other landscape paving.
Color Drainage Asphalt Pavement Types: OGFC-05, OGFC-10, OGFC-13
Anti-slip type
Anti-slip (wear-resistant) pavements are commonly used in urban landscapes such as brake deceleration zones and parks, where all types of surfaces require high friction coefficients. The basic concept is to enhance and maintain the anti-slip, safety, and aesthetic performance of these areas. This is achieved by bonding high-gloss aggregates to the pavement, creating an elastic surface. The thickness of this pavement is typically 3 to 5 millimeters.
Product Advantages
Excellent water dispersion and anti-slip properties: The road surface has good water dispersion and anti-slip performance, which can effectively reduce braking distance and enhance driving safety.
Fast construction cycle: Due to quick and efficient construction, it effectively reduces traffic delays caused by construction.
Excellent noise reduction effect: The fine aggregate structure conducts audio, which can reduce noise by 3 to 4 decibels on cement pavements.
Good visual perception: The colored road surface effectively enhances the brightness of the road, significantly improving the visual effect of the road surface.
Color Asphalt Technology: Cold Laid Colored Pavement, Hot Mixed Colored Pavement.
Anti-rut type
High-performance road products developed through repeated comparative tests, drawing on the research findings of epoxy colored asphalt. Based on the characteristics of colored asphalt, performance is fundamentally improved by adding an appropriate amount of hardener to the colored asphalt. Features: BX colored asphalt requires no additional equipment (including asphalt tanks), using direct addition to the mixture method for any base mix; easy to use, store, transport, and produce.
