A manual image scanner is a precise optical image measuring instrument. Below is a detailed introduction to it:

I. Basic Composition

The manual image scanner is mainly composed of a marble base, an XY-axis worktable, and a Z-axis focusing system in structure. Functionally, it is divided into mechanical, electrical, and software components. The electrical part primarily refers to the CCD industrial camera unit, which transmits the image of the object being measured to the computer for measurement. The software part usually includes image, graphic, element, data, and coordinate areas, etc., for the implementation of specific measurement functions.

Section II: Working Principle

The manual image仪 uses a zoom objective lens to magnify the object being measured, then inputs the enlarged image into the computer via a CCD industrial camera. The measurement software processes and measures the image to obtain geometric measurement data of the object being measured.

  5. High-definition Imaging: The imaging device, consisting of a zoom objective lens and a high-resolution color camera, magnifies and transmits the workpiece image to the computer, assisting the operator in observing the details of the tested object more clearly.

  6. Measurement: Operators can directly observe and locate measurement points through the manual control of the measurement platform, which is beneficial for measuring individual products.

IV. Operation Methods

  1. Power On: First turn on the instrument's power and the computer's power, then warm up for about 10 minutes before opening the measurement software.

  2. Measurement: Proficient in operating the three XYZ-axis rotary handles and two light source dials (surface light and bottom light), selecting between element measurement or composite construction based on measurement requirements, and choosing between surface measurement or contour measurement methods. Typically, contour measurement employs the automatic edge finding feature for quick measurement, while surface measurement often requires manual measurement due to unclear contour boundaries.

  3. Shut down: After saving useful data, close the software first, then turn off the instrument light source, followed by the instrument power and computer power.

V. Application Fields

Manual image measuring instruments are widely used in industrial production, quality inspection, scientific research, and other fields. They can be employed to measure various complex workpiece's geometric dimensions, shapes, and positional parameters, providing crucial data support for product quality control and R&D design.
