1600T GRP Septic Tank Technical Principle
Glass-fiber Reinforced Plastic (GFRP) septic tanks are made by combining high molecular materials with high-strength glass fiber reinforced plastic in a cylindrical, integrated design. Compared to traditional brick-and-mortar septic tanks, they offer superior tightness, no leakage, easy transport due to their light weight, high compressive strength, long-lasting resistance to acids and alkalis, and quick installation. The cylindrical septic tanks effectively utilize a large accumulation area, featuring T-shaped reinforcing ribs in the body and at both ends, with wheel-type end caps and a concave-convex design. This structure enhances the tank's strength and water pressure resistance. The upper part of the tank is equipped with inlets and outlets for water and cleaning holes. The tank is divided into three sections—a primary sedimentation chamber, a secondary sedimentation chamber, and a treatment chamber—by membrane partitions. The partitions are fitted with material boxes filled with elastic polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) fiber bundles for wastewater treatment. Domestic wastewater enters the primary sedimentation chamber at the top of the septic tank, with the heavier parts settling to the bottom for treatment, while the lighter parts float on the surface and can be removed through the cleaning holes. The upper wastewater flows through side channels in the material boxes installed on the partition, coming into contact with suspended water treatment materials, which degrade organic matter in the water. Due to the conversion from direct overflow to circular overflow septic principles, the wastewater's retention time in the tank is increased, allowing for a longer contact and degradation time with the materials, resulting in a higher degree of organic matter degradation and a significant reduction in the BOD (Biochemical Oxygen Demand) index of the discharged wastewater.
