Fiberglass ventilation ducts refer to the fiberglass reinforced plastic (FRP) air ducts and FRP fan housings, which feature resistance to acids and alkalis, corrosion, and long service life. They are primarily used in industries such as textiles, chemicals, printing, metallurgy, and underground facilities that require the discharge of corrosive waste gases.

Characteristics of Acrylic Glass Steel Ventilation Ducts:

1. Corrosion Resistance - FRP pipes can withstand corrosion from acids, alkalis, salts, seawater, untreated wastewater, corrosive soil or groundwater, and a multitude of chemical fluids.

2. Excellent heat and cold resistance - The temperature range for FRP pipes is generally between -40℃ and 120℃.

3. Lightweight and High-Strength, Easy to Transport and Install - FRP pipes have a density of 1.7-1.9, which is approximately 30% of the weight per unit length of steel pipes when compared to pipes of the same pressure and diameter. Thus, transportation and installation are extremely convenient. FRP pipes can be up to 12m in length, and installation is quick and straightforward. Additionally, processes such as welding, rust, and corrosion prevention required for steel pipe installation can be eliminated.

4. Low Friction Resistance, High conveying capacity - The inner surface of the FRP pipeline is extremely smooth with a small roughness coefficient, allowing the hydraulic coefficient C to be maintained at 145-150 for a long time. The tested fluid friction loss coefficient f is 0.000915, significantly reducing pressure loss along the pipeline and enhancing conveying capacity by over 20%.

5. Excellent electrical and thermal insulation properties - FRP is a non-conductor, offering good insulation for pipes, making it suitable for use in areas with dense transmission and telecommunication lines as well as regions prone to lightning. The thermal conductivity of FRP pipes is very low (0.25 kcal/m·h·℃), thus providing good insulation and minimizing heat loss.

6. Rustproof - As glass steel pipes are made of non-metallic materials like resin and glass fiber, they do not rust during either use or storage, thus requiring no anti-rust or rust-removing treatment.

7. High Design Flexibility - The specific performance and shape of the spirally wound glass steel pipe can be designed according to actual usage requirements.

① The winding angle during coiling can be designed to allow the pipe to have different longitudinal/tangential strength distributions.

8. Diverse and Flexible Connection Methods - The joints for glass fiber reinforced plastic pipes come in various options, including: butt joints, flange connections (with slip-on), socket joints, O-ring connections with locking devices, and threaded connections. These can be flexibly chosen based on specific construction conditions.
