Rusting treatment issue for hot-rolled H-beams

Hot-rolled H-shaped steel is a type of commonly used steel, which undergoes anti-rust treatment during the manufacturing process. However, if not properly stored or maintained, it can still rust over time. So, how should we care for it?

Therefore, it is necessary to remove rust before each use of hot-rolled H-beams to eliminate small rust spots and prevent further corrosion that could impact performance. This requires purchasing rust removers to address surface oxidation issues. Additionally, placing hot-rolled H-beams in a dry environment during use can also help prevent rusting.

To prevent hot-rolled H-section steel from rusting, we should avoid exposing it to the air during storage and keep it in a dry place. Additionally, if rusting occurs before use, it's recommended to sand off the rust first to prevent small rust spots from expanding into larger ones after use.
