• Overview
The ZJ and ZJB type Roots vacuum pumps are a type of rotary variable-volume vacuum pump, also known as a mechanical booster pump. They are one of the main vacuum extraction equipment for achieving medium and high vacuum levels and operate on a principle similar to that of Roots blowers. They utilize two "8" shaped rotors that rotate synchronously within the pump casing, thereby completing the suction and exhaust processes.
The difference between the ZJB type overflow valve Roots vacuum pump and the ZJ type Roots vacuum pump is that the intake and exhaust ports of the ZJB pump are connected, with a self-weight valve vertically mounted in the passage. Its function is to maintain a pressure difference between the exhaust and intake ports at a controlled value, which is the maximum allowable pressure difference for the pump to operate reliably. Therefore, this valve is essentially an overload automatic protection valve.
Purpose
The ZJ and ZJB type Roots vacuum pumps are widely used in vacuum degassing, vacuum melting, vacuum surface treatment, and the manufacturing of electrical equipment and vacuum freeze-drying equipment in the metal and non-metal material industries. When connected in series with water ring vacuum pumps or liquid ring vacuum pumps, these pumps are particularly suitable for vacuum polymerization, reaction, decomposition processes in the chemical industry, as well as vacuum distillation, vacuum drying, and vacuum crystallization in the food industry.
• Features
1. Has a high suction capacity over a wide pressure range (1~1.3×10^2 Pa).
2. Oil-free pump cavity, preventing oil vapor contamination of the vacuum system.
3. Low vibration, low noise.
4. Low mechanical friction loss, hence the driving power is small.
5. Easy to maintain and repair, low cost, long lifespan.
6. Suitable for sudden depressurization in vacuum systems.
7. Removable and condensable gas.
8. Must be used with a priming pump, not to be operated independently. It is not allowed to start under atmospheric pressure. The priming pump must first draw the入口 pressure of the Roots pump to the allowable starting pressure before it can be started. The priming pump is typically an oil-sealed mechanical pump or a liquid ring vacuum pump, such as a water ring pump or an oil ring pump.
9. Features unique processing technology with excellent component interchangeability.
10. The gas flow section can be treated with electroless nickel plating, Hastelloy diffusion, PTFE coating, and ECTFE (ethylene chlorotrifluoroethylene copolymer) coating, and is made of full stainless steel material, capable of withstanding corrosion from various acids, alkalis, and organic solvents.
11. Utilizes a single-sided mechanical seal, effectively eliminating long-standing issues such as vacuum leaks and lubricating oil leaks caused by shaft movement seal wear.
