Application Scope

This product is suitable for various powders or fillers, such as light (heavy) calcium carbonate, clay, mica powder, wollastonite, talc, or surface treatment of pigments, as well as plastics, rubbers, coatings, inks, adhesives, etc., where coupling agents are directly added.

Usage and Dosage

A. Pretreatment Method:

Powder or filler is added to a high-speed kneader and preheated to approximately 110°C to dry out the moisture in the powder or filler. Then, add the measured coupling agent, and the material can be discharged after 8-10 minutes of processing. (If other additives are to be added, add them 4 minutes after the coupling agent has been activated and modified), strictly prohibit simultaneous use with other dispersants.

B. Direct Addition Method

Add the coupling agent directly during high-speed mixing, following the same method as above. However, note that components containing carboxyl or hydroxyl groups, such as stearic acid and organic alcohols, should be added 3-4 minutes after the coupling agent has activated and modified the powder. Of the two methods mentioned, the effect is better under high-speed mixing in the first method.

Dosage

(1) Suitable for general filling materials, usage approximately 0.8%-1.0% of the total filling amount

(2) Used for film masterbatch, the dosage is approximately 1.5%-2.0% of the filler amount.

(3) For powdered materials, the dosage is approximately 1.0%-1.5% of the powder amount.

(4) Used for masterbatch and cable material, the dosage is approximately 1.5%-3.0% of the filler amount.

(5) For PVC products, usage is approximately 1.0%-1.5% of the filler amount (with the filler content in the product doubled or more, improving product mechanical properties and reducing processing temperature)

(6) For rigid PVC products, usage is approximately 0.5%-1.0% of the filler content (filler content in the finished product is doubled or more, enhancing corner welding strength, improving cold stamping strength, and enhancing flow processing properties)

(7) For powders and coatings, inks; usage approximately 0.7%-1.5%

Cautionary Notes

1. For composite products made from granular resins such as PE, PP, ABC, PC, etc., the raw materials must first be processed into masterbatch or granule form before being mixed with these resins.

2. Coupling agents should be waterproof, fireproof, and stored in a dry place. Once opened, they should be used up promptly or re-sealed for storage.

3. Note the product's production date and use it up within the best before period (half a year).
