The mythical Pixiu, the ninth son of the dragon, is capable of flying through the clouds, commanding thunder and lightning, bringing rain and clearing the skies, and possesses the power to ward off evil. The nine sons of the dragon have diverse abilities. Pixiu, its son, is a thousand times more powerful than its father, with a large mouth resembling a golden toad, scales like a qilin, and combining the strengths of various animals. It has a mouth but no tail, able to swallow all things without excretion.
