The high inclination wavy edge belt conveyor is a new type of conveying belt that has already been put into use in some industrially developed countries. The high inclination wavy edge belt conveyor is primarily used in industries such as coal, metallurgy, chemicals, and ports. In our country, due to the inclination angles of traditional conveyors being below 20 degrees, when a greater height needs to be lifted, issues like long conveying distances, large land occupation, and extensive civil engineering arise. In recent years, to save land use, reduce engineering and operational costs, and meet the demand for energy conservation and consumption reduction, efforts have been made.
The large inclination wave-type edge conveyor belt, due to its unique structure and characteristics, has gradually gained widespread application. This conveyor belt is suitable for conveying various bulk materials and dry goods; however, if the moisture content exceeds 10%, the items on the belt may adhere to it. If not properly cleaned, the crushed concrete, which is a dry lean concrete, can exhibit some adhesiveness when mixed with wet materials. A reliable striking device needs to be designed and installed to reduce the adhesion of cement mortar and fine aggregates to the base belt, cross plates, and edge guards, thereby minimizing aggregate separation.
Compared to conventional traditional conveyer belts, the high inclination wave-shaped edge belt conveyor is suitable for transporting large bulk materials. It significantly reduces the length of the conveying line, lessening land occupation and increasing height. The conveying capacity range is wide, with a maximum of 2500 m3/h, and the material particle size can reach 800mm. It features low energy consumption, simple structure, and easy maintenance, reducing the transportation consumption per unit weight by about 30% compared to conventional belt conveyors. It outperforms ordinary conveyer belts in all technical aspects and boasts high-quality belts with a long service life.
