Fluorinated graphite is an intercalated compound produced by the direct reaction of carbon and fluorine. It is a novel functional material with very low surface free energy and good thermal and chemical stability. Fluorinated graphite is a solid, structural, non-stoichiometric fluorocarbon empirical formula (CFx)n. The reaction temperature depends on the type of raw material, the design of the reactor, the end use, and the desired degree of fluorination.

Our company has independently developed an internal circulation process for fluorine gas application in fluorination reactors, utilizing a high-temperature synthesis method (dry process) to produce fluoro-graphite. This solves difficult problems in the fluoro-graphite process, making production safer. The products achieve various fluorocarbon ratios with controllable particle sizes, approaching the theoretical fluorocarbon ratio value (1.25); non-graphite fluorocarbons can reach 1.28.
