Asbestos rubber sheets are industrial sealing materials made by rolling or pressing asbestos fibers, rubber, and fillers [3-6]. They possess properties such as high-temperature resistance, corrosion resistance, and resistance to acids and alkalis, and can be processed into various types of gaskets. They are widely used as sealing shims in pipeline flanges, high-pressure vessel flanges, and mechanical connection surfaces [1-2] [6]. They can be categorized into oil-resistant, high-pressure, medium and low-pressure, and acid and alkali-resistant types based on their performance and applications, and are suitable for media such as high-temperature and high-pressure steam, inert gases, and acidic or alkaline liquids [2-3] [6]. Due to environmental protection and usage restrictions, they are gradually being replaced by non-asbestos rubber sheets.
