Description

Submersible mixers, after years of practical exploration, have achieved a good price-performance ratio due to their innovative form, structure, and testing methods. They enhance the mixing efficiency of wastewater, mainly used in the process flow of wastewater treatment plants to agitate suspended wastewater, thin sludge, industrial process liquids, etc., to create water currents, strengthen mixing functions, prevent sludge settlement, and ensure uniform mixing and reaction among solid, liquid, and gas phases in municipal and industrial wastewater treatment processes.

The QJB type submerged mixer is divided into two main series: mixing and low-speed propulsion.

The Mixed Series Agitator is suitable for wastewater treatment plants and industrial processes, where it is used to stir aeration and anaerobic ponds. It creates water flow by recirculating pond water, suspended solids, and during the nitrification, denitrification, and dephosphorization stages.

Low-speed Turbulator Series Mixers are suitable for industrial and urban wastewater treatment plant aeration tanks, producing a strong water flow with low tangential velocity, which can be used for creating water currents in the circulation, nitrification, denitrification, and phosphorus removal stages.

Application Scope:

The blender should be able to operate continuously under the following conditions:

1. Medium temperature not exceeding 40°C.

The pH value of the 2 mediums ranges between 5~9.

3 Liquid density not exceeding 1150 kg/m³.

4 Long-term dive operations, with dive depths generally not exceeding 20 meters.

Cautionary Notes:

Submersible mixers must be fully submerged in water for operation; they cannot be used in environments with flammable, explosive, or highly corrosive liquids. The steel expansion bolts must be securely fastened according to specifications, and the cables must be tightened and properly secured after installation.

When selecting a submersible propeller, it is recommended to use a gear reducer when the diameter of the blade exceeds 2 meters.

Selection Considerations:

Selecting the right submersible mixer is a complex task, as its correctness directly impacts the normal operation of the equipment. The principle of selection is to ensure that the mixer performs full mixing functions within the appropriate volume, usually determined by the flow rate. According to the different process requirements of wastewater treatment plants, the mixer flow rate should be maintained between 0.15~0.3 m/s. A flow rate below 0.15 m/s will not achieve the desired push flow mixing effect, and a flow rate above 0.3 m/s will affect the process efficiency and lead to waste. Therefore, before selecting, it's essential to determine the application site of the submersible mixer, such as a sewage pond, sludge pond, or biochemical pond. Next, consider the medium parameters like suspended solids content, viscosity, temperature, and pH value. Additionally, take into account the pool shape and water depth.

The required matching power for a blender is determined by the volume size, the density of the blending liquid, and the blending depth, with one or more blenders used based on the specific circumstances.


Mixed Agitator Type

Determine the sludge correction factor for the medium to be agitated based on Figure B1 or Table B1.

Determine the mixing tank type correction coefficient according to Figure B2 or Table B2.

3 Multiply the 5 W required per cubic meter of clear water by the sludge correction factor, then by the tank type correction factor, to obtain the actual power required per cubic meter of medium to be mixed. Multiply this by the volume of the medium to be mixed, and you get the total power needed for the entire tank's mixed medium.


Low-speed Turbulent Flow Type

Determine the mixing tank type correction coefficient according to Figure B1 or Table B1.

2 Determine the sludge correction factor for the medium to be mixed based on Figure B2 or Table B2.

3 Based on the initial flow velocity y of the stirring medium, determine the unit flow energy consumption through Figure B3.

Calculate the mixer's flow rate by multiplying the initial flow velocity of the stirring medium, y, by the cross-sectional area formed by the impeller rotation.

Multiply the flow rate of the mixer by the power consumption per unit flow, then by the sludge correction factor and pond type correction factor, to obtain the total power required for the entire pond medium.
