Solvent-based Bridge Deck Waterproof Adhesive Product Introduction:

Solvent-based adhesive is a single-component solvent-type waterproof adhesive formed by dissolving asphalt, various high molecular weight resins, and additives in a specific solvent through special processing. The main characteristics of solvent-based adhesive, in addition to excellent waterproofing properties, are its ability to effectively address interlayer bonding issues between concrete (steel plate) and asphalt concrete. Under the action of external load levels (especially in high-temperature conditions), the pavement is less prone to problems such as displacement, detachment, and deformation. It is suitable for interlayer waterproofing and bonding in cement concrete bridge decks, steel bridge decks, tunnel pavements, or other composite pavement installations, particularly for pavements with slopes (transverse and longitudinal) and bridge deck installations less than 7mm, for waterproofing and bonding.

Waterproof Performance: Effectively blocks the penetration of rainwater, snowmelt, etc. onto the bridge deck, offering significant waterproofing effects. It prevents moisture from eroding the bridge structure, thereby extending the service life of the bridge.

Strong Bonding: Excellent adhesion to sub-base materials like bridge concrete, ensuring secure attachment and resistance to peeling, thus maintaining the integrity of the waterproofing membrane over long-term use.

Excellent weather resistance: Can adapt to various climate conditions such as high and low temperatures, sun exposure, rain, etc., maintaining stable performance and continuously providing waterproofing in harsh environments.

Easier Construction: Multiple application methods like spraying and brushing are available, making the operation relatively simple. It can effectively meet the requirements for bridge deck waterproofing. However, ensure good ventilation during construction due to the volatility of organic solvents.

Product Application: This product is a single-component, low-viscosity liquid. During application, pour it into a container of appropriate size, gently stir for 3-5 minutes. There are two methods of application: two coats of spray, with solvent-based adhesive spray usage of 0.4-0.7kg/㎡. If the base surface is uneven, a higher application rate can be chosen.

① Manual Coating: The operator applies the coating evenly using a roller onto cement concrete or steel plates after sandblasting rust removal.

② Machine Spraying: Operators hold the spray gun, directly drawing solvent-based adhesive from the raw material drum through the bend tube at the back of the gun. The spray gun emits a mist of solvent-based adhesive, evenly covering the bridge surface. After the first coating is dry, apply a second coat. Once the solvent-based adhesive film is completely dry, paving of asphalt mixture can be carried out.
