Polytetrafluoroethylene (Teflon or PTFE), commonly known as the "Plastic King," is a high molecular compound formed by polymerizing tetrafluoroethylene, featuring excellent chemical stability, corrosion resistance, sealing properties, high lubricity, non-stickiness, electrical insulation, and good aging resistance. Used as engineering plastic, it can be manufactured into PTFE pipes, rods, tapes, plates, films, and more. Generally applied in high-performance, corrosion-resistant pipelines, containers, pumps, valves, as well as manufacturing, communication equipment, and radio materials.
Advantages
High-temperature resistant---Operational temperature up to 250.
Low-temperature resistance—Maintains good mechanical toughness; retains a 5% elongation even at -196°C.
Corrosion-resistant—Exhibits inertness to most chemicals and solvents, withstands strong acids and alkalis, water, and organic solvents.
PTFE (Polytetrafluoroethylene) cannot be injection molded.
Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE), commonly known as "non-stick coating" or "easy-to-clean material," features resistance to acids and alkalis, as well as organic solvents, and is virtually insoluble in all solvents.
PTFE also boasts high-temperature resistance, with a low coefficient of friction, making it an ideal coating for water pipes that is not only lubricating but also easy to clean.
The exceptional mechanical properties of polytetrafluoroethylene include a low coefficient of friction, ranging between 0.01-0.10, which is the smallest among existing plastic materials and even all engineering materials.
Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) can be processed into shapes through compression or extrusion; it can also be made into a water dispersion for coatings, impregnation, or fiber production. PTFE is extensively used in various industries as a material that withstands extreme temperatures and corrosion, as an insulating material, and as a non-stick coating, including in nuclear energy, electronics, electrical, chemical, mechanical, instrument, meter, construction, weaving, metal surface treatment, pharmaceutical, textile, food, metallurgical smelting, and other fields, making it an indispensable product.
Application
Polytetrafluoroethylene is widely used in industries such as atomic energy, electronics, electrical, chemical, machinery, instruments, meters, construction, textiles, metal surface treatment, pharmaceuticals, food, and metallurgical smelting as a material that withstands high and low temperatures, corrosion resistance, insulation, and non-stick coatings, making it an irreplaceable product.
Equipment Used: Sealing areas at flange connections of pipelines, valves, pumps, pressure vessels, heat exchangers, condensers, generators, air compressors, exhaust pipes, refrigeration units, etc.
