1. Knitted polyester fabric is a breathable and permeable polymer fiber fabric, and its unique structure ensures that waterproof coating can penetrate well, forming a whole between the floor coating and the intermediate coating, and the waterproof layer has continuity. Its unique breathability ensures the breathability of the waterproof layer, allowing the water vapor formed under the waterproof layer due to temperature changes to be discharged in a timely manner. The adhesion between the waterproof layer and the substrate is not affected by water vapor, thus ensuring the long service life of the waterproof layer.

2. Stitching polyester fabric is fundamentally different from non-woven fabric. The fibers of non-woven fabric have no directionality and are impermeable. Sewing polyester fabric in conventional metal roof construction process:

1. Construction technology for grassroots pretreatment

A、 Grassroots inspection:

Before construction, the condition of the roof base should be checked to ensure that the roof is clean, flat, free of frozen objects, moisture, loose particles, protrusions, or other debris that may hinder the bonding strength of the waterproofing system.

B、 Grassroots pre-treatment:

⑴ Protect areas that do not require waterproofing;

⑵ Use a broom or brush to sweep away dust and other loose attachments.

⑶ For protruding pipes, water outlets, gap connections, and corners, a waterproof system should be applied for pre treatment separately (one layer of base coating with a suitable size of sewn polyester cloth and one layer of base coating).

2. Processing methods for various application scopes

A、 Metal roof overlap:

Apply a layer of base coating to the overlapping area of the metal roof. While it is still wet, embed a 15-20 centimeter wide seam woven polyester cloth into it, and then fully wet the seam woven polyester cloth with base coating from above until it is completely dry.

B、 Cut the protruding objects of the metal roof (such as chimneys, air vents, fan ports, etc.) into polyester fabric with appropriate size and shape, and cut them according to technical requirements. Apply a layer of base coating around the protruding objects, lay the cut polyester fabric on top, and then fully wet the polyester fabric with base coating from above to ensure no bubbles or wrinkles.

C、 Metal roof fasteners:

Weave polyester fabric with 10cm x 10cm seams and process it using the same method as described above.

D、 Metal roof gutter:

At the joints of the gutter and the drainage outlet, a metal roof waterproofing system is first used for local waterproofing treatment. Then, a layer of coating is applied to a larger waterproof area. When it is still wet, a polyester fabric is laid on top, and then the polyester fabric is fully soaked with slurry from above until it is completely dry. After at least 12 hours, apply another layer of slurry.

E、 Apply one or two layers of surface coating in areas that have undergone waterproofing treatment, with a total coating rate of 35 square meters/20 liters (it is recommended to apply in two coats to maintain the same total coating rate).

F、 The coating rate of a single layer of base coating is 40 square meters/20 liters

3. Construction process precautions

A、 After each construction is completed, the drum or brush must be cleaned with clean water and soaked until the next construction;

B、 Areas that do not require waterproofing systems should be immediately cleaned with clean water.

4. Construction tools

A、 Cleaning grassroots tools: knives, chisels, hammers, wire brushes, brooms, cloths;

B、 Coating tool: drum; Used for large-area flat construction of base coating. Brush: used for small area application of base coating and surface coating;

C、 Inspection and repair tools: scissors, art knife: used for the construction of protruding objects such as hollow parts and wall corner pipes.
