Brief Introduction: Tantalum pentoxide (Ta2O5) is a white, colorless crystalline powder, a common oxide of tantalum, and the final product formed when tantalum burns in air. It is primarily used in the production of lithium tantalate single crystals and in manufacturing high refractive index, low dispersion special optical glass. In the chemical industry, it can act as a catalyst. It dissolves in molten potassium hydrogen sulfate but is not soluble in water and other acids.
Use: Raw material for producing crystalline tantalum. Also used in the electronic industry. Supplied for tantalum oxide lithium single crystal and for manufacturing special optical glass with high refractive index and low dispersion. Can act as a catalyst in chemical industry.
