The CYD series portable multifunctional magnetic powder penetrator is a high-current portable magnetic powder penetrator designed and manufactured with new materials and processes. It boasts small size, light weight, ease of mobility, dual AC/DC operation, comprehensive functions, and simple operation. Its technical performance fully complies with the strict standards of the American and German aerospace and aviation industries, and can replace imported similar equipment. It is suitable for overall or local half-wave DC and AC penetrator inspection of large and extra-large parts. For ease of use on-site, the high-current equipment is designed to be portable and can perform AC magnetization, half-wave DC magnetization, and automatic demagnetization. The magnetization/demagnetization current is continuously adjustable, with AC magnetization phase control and multiple protections against overcurrent, overvoltage, and overtemperature. Accessories include contacts, clamps, opening and closing magnetization coils, and soft cables, designed and manufactured in accordance with the JB/T8290-2011 (1998) "Magnetic Particle Inspector" standard. It is suitable for non-destructive testing of ferromagnetic components in aerospace, aviation, railway, automotive, marine, pressure vessels, and machinery industries. It can detect extremely fine defects such as cracks and inclusions on the surface and near the surface of components due to casting, forging, stretching, quenching, polishing, and fatigue. It can magnetize and demagnetize the inspected workpieces, allowing for overall or local penetrator inspection using the continuous and residual magnetism methods. It can be fixed in workshops or laboratories and also carried to the penetrator site. With accessories, it can perform winding, contact (twig), and coil induction methods for penetrator inspection, enabling appropriate magnetization of irregular parts of various components. It can segmentally magnetize large-sized components. It has an automatic demagnetization function, which gradually reduces the magnetization current to zero to eliminate residual magnetism, ensuring convenient operation and good results. The instrument adjusts the magnetization and demagnetization current size by adjusting the thyristor conduction angle, featuring reasonable design and reliable operation. The output voltage is below 36V, posing no harm to humans.
