What is deburring:
Roughening involves creating grooves on the surface of completed concrete structures. It is typically performed after the casting of in-situ slabs to ensure a solid bond for the subsequent pouring of columns and walls.
In simpler terms, it's about roughening the concrete surface with a drill and then thoroughly washing it clean, primarily to enhance the bonding strength between the concrete and its adhesive.
Section II: The Function of Notching
The reason for grooving is not only to roughen the surface, but primarily to remove the laitance from the concrete surface, ensuring the concrete at the junction of old and new sections is dense and firmly bonded. To illustrate with an analogy of a bridge:
Piers have broken pile heads, which can also be considered as roughening. The purpose is to remove loose concrete to ensure quality.
Chipping at the joint of the two columns, the purpose is to ensure a firm concrete bond and also to eliminate the seam.
The top surface of the 3-beam slab is roughened to ensure a strong bond with the paving layer, as the paving layer is relatively thin and not roughening it could lead to peeling.
Section 3: Application Scope:
Concrete product surface roughening for construction joints of precast beams, and bonding reinforcement modeling, followed by roughening and sanding at the joint edges and areas of different heights.
Specific application scope for enhancing adhesion through coating cleaning can be inquired with customer service in advance.
