What is the IECEx certificate application process? -- Shenzhen Zhongnuo Testing Technology Co., Ltd.
IECEx member states' certification bodies recognized and authorized by the IECEx system are referred to as IECEx Accepted Application Bodies (IECEx Certification Body, abbreviated as ExCB). Only ExCBs are authorized to conduct IECEx system explosion-proof product certification.
ExCB is primarily responsible for the following certification tasks:
1. Accept IECEx certification applications.
2. Organize explosion-proof testing laboratories (ExTL) to conduct explosion-proof type testing on the products applying for certification (including explosion-proof review of drawings and documents and prototype testing).
3. Review Explosion-Proof Report (ExTR)
4. Conduct factory quality condition inspections for manufacturers applying for certification, compile and review the Factory Quality Condition Report (QAR).
5. Make the decision on certification.
6. Correspond with the IECEx Secretariat for the issuance of IECEx certification.
7. Conduct annual supervision for manufacturers already holding an IECEx certification.

Domestic explosion-proof certifications cannot be directly converted to international IECEx certifications. This is because the Chinese explosion-proof certification standard GB/T3836 is essentially a direct citation of the gup ji IECEx explosion-proof certification standards (IEC60079). Therefore, possessing a NEPSI certification does not allow for a direct conversion to IECEx certification.
