PTFE film tape is made from abrasive PTFE film coated with pressure-sensitive silicone or extruded PTFE film. The basic film features a smooth, non-stick surface, high tensile strength, low elongation, and high dielectric strength. This tape is self-adhesive and easy to bond with other materials. It is particularly suitable for manufacturing high-temperature seals, insulators, and bearings used in semiconductor, aerospace, and chemical processing industries.

Compression-molded PTFE film tape (high modulus PTFE tape) appears similar to the thin PTFE film tape when rolled, but it peels off more evenly than the typical thin PTFE film tape, and the tape resists curling when unfolded. Generally, the elongation of thin PTFE film tape is 300%, while the elongation of compression-molded PTFE film tape is less than 50%. Therefore, the elongation of high modulus PTFE tape is less than that of standard thin PTFE film tape, but it has higher tensile strength.
