Custom hollow inflatable seals at Qingtu Rubber; Used to seal gaps between mechanical parts, they expand for sealing when inflated and return to their original shape upon deflation, allowing the machine to resume operation.
Hollow inflatable seals are a new type of seal made of silicone rubber, featuring an internal hollow structure. These seals are designed for use with compressed air sources and utilize inflation and deflation to alter the structural shape of the silicone rubber seal. Due to the flexibility of silicone rubber, the inflated seal is pliable. Upon contact with the sealing surface, it undergoes flexible curve deformation, enabling it to seal gaps that are linear or curved in shape. Upon deflation, the seal automatically retracts to its original shape, restoring the equipment gap. They can quickly achieve both sealing and unsealing, with repeated inflation and deflation capable of up to one million cycles. In operation, the internal gas pressure of the seal body ensures high sealing strength, resulting in excellent airtightness and sealing performance. The shape of the hollow structure within the seal body is designed based on the seal gap size, fluid pressure, and frequency of expansion and contraction. Like solid-core seals, inflatable seals can provide radial and axial sealing for equipment.
Silicone is resistant to high temperatures and tearing, and, except for reactions with strong acids and bases, it is unaffected by other chemical media, making it an ideal material for inflatable sealing. Hollow inflatable sealing rings are widely used in various mechanical pipelines, valves, curing tanks, autoclaves, reactors, dryers, separators, and other sealing equipment.
