Do not arbitrarily increase speed when the pump starts, as this can lead to premature wear on the shaft or bearings. 7. Regularly replacing bearings can save maintenance costs. When the wear on the shaft or inner surface of the bearing approaches the thickness of the hardened layer, the shaft can be ground and reused, while only the bearing is replaced. This can extend the life of the pump shaft by 8 to 10 years.
