It's widely known that after electrical work in explosive hazardous areas is completed, a third-party organization must conduct a post-completion inspection. Only upon passing the inspection can the facility be put into use. Additionally, apart from regular checks by the company itself, a facility with explosion-proof inspection qualifications must conduct periodic inspections every three years.
Here, we first share what the main items are for the acceptance inspection after completion?
1. Check if the explosion-proof electrical equipment has a label, an Ex mark, and clear identification of the type, class, and group of the explosion-proof equipment. Does the label indicate the explosion-proof certificate number issued by the inspection unit?
2. Inspect the type, grade, group, environmental conditions, and special markings of explosion-proof electrical equipment to ensure compliance with regulations.
3. Inspect the shell of explosion-proof electrical equipment for cracks or damage; ensure the paint is intact, that the junction box cover is securely fastened, and that the fixing bolts and anti-loosening devices are in place.
4. Check for oil leakage and seepage in oil-filled electrical equipment, and ensure the oil level meets the required specifications.
5. Ventilation and exhaust systems of explosion-proof electrical equipment with positive pressure should be unobstructed, connections should be properly made, and the installation positions of inlets and outlets should meet the requirements.
6. Are the extra entry ports of the explosion-proof electrical equipment properly sealed in accordance with regulations?
7. The installation of sealed or insulated devices in electrical circuits should comply with regulations.
8. The wiring engineering of intrinsic safety explosion-proof electrical equipment shall comply with design requirements for the route and elevation of the lines; the lines should be marked with a sky blue sign.
9. The grounding or neutral grounding of explosion-proof electrical equipment, as well as anti-static grounding, should meet the design requirements and be firm and reliable.
10. At the time of completion and acceptance, the relevant documents, materials, manufacturer's product user manuals, test records, qualification certificates, and installation drawings, along with other technical files, should be submitted.
11. At the time of inspection, the following measurement records should also be submitted:
Record of measurement for the single-sided air gap of the stator and rotor in explosion-proof motors with increased safety.
(2) Adjustment records for pressure-relief devices protecting explosion-proof electrical equipment, such as wind and air pressure relays; high-temperature records of the equipment's housing during trial operation; and test records of the grounding resistance for static electricity protection.
12. Explosion-proof electrical equipment operation records
The shell temperature of explosion-proof electrical equipment, including intrinsically safe and non-sparking explosion-proof electrical equipment, should not exceed the specified value.
(2) After internal wiring in the junction box is securely fastened, the electrical clearances and creepage distances between live parts and between live parts and the metal enclosure shall comply with regulations.
(3) Exhaust outlets of explosion-proof electrical equipment with positive pressure should not blow out sparks. The micro-pressure relay should operate reliably when reducing wind pressure and air pressure.
(4) The protection and interlock devices of explosion-proof electrical equipment should operate correctly and reliably.

How to conduct explosion-proof safety inspections on electrical equipment in use?
In accordance with the AQ3009-2007 "Electrical Explosion Protection Safety Regulations for Hazardous Areas," explosion-proof electrical equipment in use must undergo a regular explosion-proof inspection at least every 3 years to ensure their explosion-proof performance. The inspection items include the selection, installation, wiring, static electricity, grounding, and more of the explosion-proof equipment. Inspection methods include visual inspections, general inspections, and detailed inspections. This requires on-site inspections, where the client must provide information on the area of the explosion-proof zone, the number of electrical equipment, and the MSDS on-site. After the on-site inspection is completed, a report with explosion-proof improvement suggestions or an explosion-proof inspection report will be issued based on the actual situation.

8. Grounding or neutral bonding of electrical installations and anti-static wiring must comply with design requirements and be secure and reliable.
